A partly frozen St Lawrence River separates the two cities of Quebec and Levis. The crisp cool of the evening made for a clear view across the mighty river towards the historic Fairmont Le Frontenac Hotel which is situated on the upper banks of the river.
The lights created a golden hue around the buildings with splashes of white snow on the roof tops and bare trees. Quebec City is a wonderland during the winter and a must see annual event is the Quebec Winter Carnival.
The city of Levis is situated on the southern shore of the St Lawrence River directly opposite Quebec City, Canada.
